There is a new publication out from the Peatland-ES-UK team which responds to a Natural England paper and reviews evidence.
A new Peatland-ES-UK publication is out which responds to a Natural England paper. Andreas Heinemeyer co-authored the paper "Prescribed fire in UK heather-dominated blanket bog peatlands: a critical review of “Carbon storage and sequestration by habitat: a review of the evidence (second edition)” by Gregg et al., 2021". In the paper, the authors recommend ways to enhance the review’s value to researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Issues and recent developments on this topic (including the 10-year report - summary version) were recently highlighted in a House of Lords debate (20.40:11 onwards).
