Pulitzer-prize winner and Washington Post’s ‘Contributing Writer’ Robert O'Harrow visited the Llyn Brianne Stream Observatory.

Steve Ormerod was delighted to welcome Washington Post’s ‘Contributing Writer’ Robert O'Harrow to the Llyn Brianne Stream Observatory for two days in April. Robert's distinguished career has included a Pulitzer Prize amongst many other awards for investigative reporting. He’s interested in the environment and specifically freshwater ecosystems. He has a particular interest in the global plight of mayflies, and what they reveal about our use and abuse of these critical ecosystems having already written on this subject for the Washington Post. Robert has now been contracted to expand his coverage into a book for the environmentally leading brand 'Patagonia'. It was this project that brought him to Wales from Washington DC so that the long-term data from Llyn Brianne can be included in his book. This reflects the expanding array of contributions from the Llyn Brianne Observatory on the trajectory of insect populations over 40 years.
